If you're going to be visiting Bali, it'll be a sin not to try out the spas, resorts and massage treatments, here for a massage and treatment to get you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and get you in the mood for some honeymoon loving.
On your honeymoon, you need to be pampered as much as possible, so we recommend going for the works, with a facial, massage, body wrap and skin treatment as often as you want. Perhaps even once a day, if it makes you feel good.
Like any beautiful beach resort, there are the cheap massage parlours offering a simple massage for USD 7, to those offering 3 hour pampering from head to toe spas that cost over USD 88. We opted for those somewhere in between, offering a sufficiently luxurious and satisfying experience at an affordable price.
Those staying near the Kuta or Legian beach areas would find the Tanjong Biru spa at the Inna Kuta Beach Hotel a good bet. The hotel itself, a four star hotel fronting Kuta beach, offers a choice of room and bungalows arrayed around the hotel pool. The spa, set in one corner around it's own small pool, is quiet, private and relaxing.
For a price of USD 15, you get a personal pavilion and a choice of different massages lasting on average between an hour to 90 minutes. The masseuses are professional, the facilities comfortable enough and if you feel like, you can have a shower or a dip in the pool after your massage. It's good and cheap enough that we kept going back for more.
Out of town, we had a chance to try the Valentino spa, a spa dedicated to aromatherapy and massage involving traditional herbs. Their traditional herb treatment, costing USD 35 and lasting an hour and a half, starts off with the masseuse washing your feet in warm water before proveeding to have you lie down and massage yuo with gently fragrant traditional balinese herbs, guaranteed to moisten and soothe your sunburnt skin. The masseuses are gentle and professional and the experience will leave you feelign supple, relaxed and free from the aches you suffered from the previous day of jetskiing. If you are not confident of finding them, do not fret. They will provide you with transport to and from your hotel to their spa.
